Thanks to the many Great Sponsors and the help of many Range Officers we have completed another great match.  With 102 shooters we had a great turnout, a little less than expected, but the quality was shining thru.  Be sure to say thanks to the match sponsors and check out their products next time you have a chance, they will greatly appreciate it. 





Carl Frasier was High Overall and the Open Champion, Robert Carlile was able to pull off the win in Limited Division for the second year. There were 13 Juniors (13-18) with Allie Barrett taking home the first place finish along with High Lady. Brixey Nelson took the honors in th Youth Division(12 and under) coming out on top of 9 other tallented kids.  If you do the math that is over 20% of the match demographics made up of 18 and under.  Thanks to all the parents who made that happen.  Rounding out the top finishers was James Basile who won High Senior for the 2nd year in a row.

My appologies to all the Mothers that had to put up with us coming to the range on YOUR day.  This was entirely my fault for scheduling a match on such an important weekend, it will not happen again!!!
With that said I must say thanks to my wife Tina who entered the 3000+ scores, GREAT JOB.

We are happy to anounce that the Ruger Rimfire program will be coming back to Alpha Training Academy this year.  The format will be the same as last year, a 2 day match that can be shot whenever you choose over the course of 2 days.

Ruger has just approved the Oklahoma State Match to be held at ATA in Pryor,Oklahoma. the match will be a 2 day format with competitors allowed to come and compete anytime from 8am till 4pm on Saturday the 11th or 8am to 1pm Sunday the 12th with all courses fo fire being completed by 4pm on Sunday.

The award ceremony will be held at 5pm in ATA's Training Center located at the Range.

Ruger along with several other match sponsors will be donating guns and equipment to be awarded by random drawings. This will be in addition to the Awards for finish in the match.

With 100 competitors last year we expect to have 150+ shooters this year.  There will only be 200 slots available to shooters at this years match so get registered early.  The Application is located HERE.

Divisions:

OPEN:

Any firearm (pistol or revolver in handgun class) with scopes, optical sights, light gathering scopes, battery powered optics, lasers, compensator or muzzle brake.

LIMITED:

Guns with iron sights. Adjustable sights, fiber optics are allowed but no electronic sights.

OPEN and LIMITED Pistol and Rifle shooters must have at least two magazines for each gun. Five magazines are suggested.

Q. Do I have to use a Ruger Firearm?  
A. No, any rifle and pistol will be fine.

Q. How much ammo should I bring? 
A. We will be shooting 6 stages with 5 strings each, so the minimum rounds will     be 150.  You should plan on an additional 100 just to be safe.

Q. Will I need both a rifle and pistol?
A.  Yes you will need both, if you don't have them rental's will be available at the match. Supplies of rental guns are on a first come first serve basis and cannot be gaurenteed without prior notice.

Just as a reminder, all fireams must remain unloaded at all times except under the direct supervision of a Range Officer.  Competitor must "bag" their firearm when not being used.
